Haiku-esque

 

I’ve always loved the form of a Haiku. This time, though, I wanted to see if I could do something other than just the 5-7-5 form. I wanted to see if I could tweak it a bit and decided on a 5-7 for five stanzas. I quite like it. 

 

 

Down the moonlit path

Still, serene, I walk alone

Casting off my cares

Like a tattered, worn out cloak

Content to journey

Although journey not yet done

Who knows when it ends?

Not I, nor anyone else

Mine, and mine alone

Is the life-path that I chose
