Random/Ramblings – Peeps Edition #7

This week’s blog was prompted by the ever loquacious and downright mirthful Carol Barker.

I met Carol almost 20 years ago as a pen pal. She lives in England, and while we’ve never met in person, we are truly sister in our hearts. We went from letters exchanged by snail mail, to email, to instant messenger and now to chatting all the time on Facebook. We have shared everything in our hearts with each other. She’s a Brit and I’m a Yank but together we are a complete matched set of loonies.

We discovered we are so much alike in many, many ways. Our likes and dislikes. Our faith. Our kids and grandkids. Our rather unique sense of humor.

The biggest similarity though…is our downright humility and humbleness. We are practically saints, I tell you! We try to outdo each other in our selflessness. If one of us sees a spot on the other one’s halo that needs polishing, we immediately see that it is taken care of! If one of us loses a feather from one’s wing, the other will happily share one. We positively glow when we walk down the street. I honestly doubt that the world could handle it if we were ever to meet in person. You would probably see such a glow as to cause blindness. And of course, we would never want that to happen…we are far too nice for that!

Ah well. It’s not likely that we will meet this side of Heaven, but watch out! When we DO meet, there will be such a clamor! ♥
