DIY Edition
There are some seriously creative and talented folks out there. A lot of the things I come across are truly interesting and neat and I know that NEVER in a million years will I EVER do those things. But I still like to look at them…
We’re heading toward that time of year when Christmas ideas are cropping up. I think this tree made from driftwood is awesome! I would love something that sturdy that I could drape all the lights and bead garlands and know that it would hold up. And I would have a lighted star fish for the top.
This faux fireplace is a great idea for a small house, dorm room, etc. Yes, it looks kinda cheesy, but who cares? It’s Christmas! At the end of the season you could pry off the tiles and use them the following year. And no ashes to clean up!
Other than the fact that this looks like it was made from giant popsicle sticks/tongue depressors, I like this design. Simple and classy. At least I think so. You could make several in different colors for the different seasons.
I’ve seen a lot of cute ideas using shredders, and I like these. I don’t think I’d ever do the earring one, but I could see making the wind chimes with old silverware. And the rustier the shredder is, the better. I’d probably add some pipes or something that would make an actual sound.
FUNNY AS HECK!! But not in MY house! Huge points for creativity though.
This one I absolutely love and I know that Paul would’ve enjoyed making some of these. I truly wish I’d seen this when Lia was little and we could’ve played with these in the little pool.
