Weltschmerz

 

 

Yes. Weltschmerz surrounds me right now. It presses down. It threatens to overtake me. But then I remember these words of Jesus Christ:

 

“I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace.

In the world you will have tribulation.

But take courage:

I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD!”

 

John 16:33

 

God is still sovereign. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t believe that absolutely.
