Some
foods are very versatile in that they can be eaten hot or cold. Here are the
ones I like:
Pizza
– The first serving is obviously when it’s hot. Leftovers (it could happen!)
can be eaten cold and I think it’s almost as enjoyable. Usually there are only
a couple of slices left and not really worth the effort to heat up.
Fried
chicken – Awesome either way. Leftover chicken is great cold, cut up for a
sandwich or even added to ramen noodles. The same goes for leftover roast or
ham.
Any
kind of tea or coffee drink. Same with the booze you might put in that tea or
coffee drink…
Meat
loaf – Awesome of course with gravy, but the next day as a sandwich?? YES!!
Pancakes
– hear me out. There have been times when I wanted a sandwich but was out of
bread. Leftover pancakes work just fine.
Cooked
cereal – haven’t done this in a long time, but my grandma would make cornmeal
mush and any leftovers would be sliced up and fried with syrup on top. A couple
of times I actually made some specifically to have it sliced and fried.
Impossible
pie – I’m pretty sure I’ve shared the recipe for this before. It’s great hot
from the oven, but leftovers are good cold with maybe a salad on the side.
If
you know of any more foods that can be eaten either way, let me know.
