Pen Pals

 

I’m gonna do something that just might bite me in the you-know-what…but that’s the kind of gal I am. And I think it will be fun anyway. Depending on who/how many take me up on this. I came to the conclusion that I am spending WAY too much time on my phone. I would rather spend that time reading, creating art, writing, or going down rabbit holes on the Internet. So…

 

Wanna be Pen Pals? And I mean actual WRITTEN LETTERS. Or typed. Or written in crayon. I’m not picky. They don’t have to be long. They don’t really have to say much other than “The weather here stinks, how about with you?” Maybe draw a little stick figure by your name. Doesn’t even have to be real stationery. Write it on the back of an old grocery list. Put it in an envelope and stick it in the mail. Or write it on a postcard. I know that is asking for a lot, considering how much postage is. I don’t know about you, but I LOVE GETTING REAL MAIL. A few years ago I did say on Facebook that if anyone wanted to exchange Christmas cards just say so. I LOVE CHRISTMAS CARDS. I often use them in my crafts. Didn’t get many takers. I joined a postcard group called Postcrossing.com 14 years ago (Thank you, Svenja!) and have loved getting and receiving postcards from all over the world.

 

So if any of you are up for this – Let me know. I will rejoice and do a little happy dance. I may even have Marv do a video of it…

Send me a private message on FB with your addy and I will get something out in the mail that day. You don’t have to reply often (or at all as I have the tendency to blather on about almost anything).

If you don’t want to do this…that’s OK too…I will still love you all. I have a long time pen pal in Canada and we write back and forth almost every month, but if all you want is a couple times a year, OK. If all you want is a Christmas card, that’s fine too. I just want my mail box to be happy…
