Haven’t done one of these in a long time. I’ve been reading some great little murder mysteries written by Faith Martin (pen name of Jacquie Walton). Very British. The protagonist is a woman named Jenny Starling. She’s a traveling caterer/cook of the highest order. Commands very high prices for her services. She’s described as being 6’1” and of a Junoesque build. Very intelligent and fond of reading detective novels. For some reason, wherever she goes someone ends up being murdered, and it’s Jenny’s logic and common sense that helps her figure things out. The local police don’t particularly appreciate her “help” but quickly come to realize that she has very good ideas. Ms. Martin has a couple of other series that she writes, but I haven’t read any of them yet. Very enjoyable. So far there are 7 Jenny Starling mysteries.
I know this is a short one this week. I was busy reading…
